Q: What are the admission requirements?
A: Academic performance that shows potential success in the RLCA classroom and curriculum, clean discipline history with no suspensions, expulsions or history of behavioral issues, the parents and student support Real Life Christian Academy’s desire to ensure the academic success of each student through a harmonious partnership between school and parent.
Q: What supporting documents do I need to include with the application?
A: These supporting documents are required to help us make informed decisions about your child. The following documents are required:
- Copy of most recent report card. If entering 10th grade or higher, a copy of the transcript is required.
- Copy of latest standardized testing (e.g. iReady, FSA, TerraNova, PSAT, SAT, etc)
- If applicable, provide a copy of the most recent IEP, 504 plan, and psycho-educational evaluations. If the student does not have any additional testing, we may request that you provide a completed evaluation to help us make the most informed decision.
- Discipline Records. If there is no discipline record, please have the current Administrator indicate this information in writing.
- References must come from an English and or Math Teacher, Administrator, Coach, and or Pastor. You must provide their email address on the online application. The reference request will automatically be sent to their email.
- Worldview Survey (completed online)
- Copy of Scholarship Award Letter (if applicable)
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of State of Florida Immunization Form (DH680) or Religious Exemption Form
- Copy of School Entry Health Exam Form DH3040
Q: Do you have wait lists? What is the process if we are on the waitlist?
A: We do have wait lists when necessary. Some grade levels reach full enrollment quickly, so we recommend speaking with our admissions representative.
Q: What is the process for the waitlist?
A: If the grade level you’re interested in has reached its capacity and is currently waitlisted, please complete the waiting list request form available on our website under the Admissions section. You will be contacted when an opening becomes available for the specific grade level your student is waiting for, even if it happens in the middle of the school year. When we reach out to you, you can proceed with submitting your child’s application or decline the opportunity.
Please note that the waiting list does not carry over to the subsequent school year.
Q: Do you accept scholarships?
A: Yes. We gladly participate in the Step Up For Students Scholarship, FTC, FES-EO, and FES-UA programs. For families utilizing the FES-UA scholarship, please ensure you provide the most up-to-date IEP/504 and the latest psycho-educational evaluation reports. Every student is required to complete the application process, satisfy the admission criteria, and recognize that admission may not be guaranteed if we cannot adequately address the child’s needs. If the student is offered admission, they may be required to enter an academic intervention program at an additional cost.
Q: What are school hours?
A: PK3 & PK4 Monday-Friday Full Day 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, Half Day 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Kindergarten-12th Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Wednesday 8:00 am – 1:30 pm
Q: Do you offer before or after-school care?
A: Yes. The before care program begins at 7:00 a.m. We have an extended care option for students PK-12th grades from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm for an additional fee.
Q: Do students wear uniforms?
A: Yes, students PreK-12th wear uniforms.
