At Real Life Christian Academy, our Visual Arts program nurtures creativity, self-expression, and a deep appreciation for the arts. By exploring a variety of mediums and techniques, students discover their unique artistic voice while building a strong foundation in art history and practice.
Lower School: Hands-On Learning Through Art History
Our lower school visual arts curriculum introduces students to renowned artists and diverse art forms. By studying the styles and techniques of iconic figures like Picasso, students gain inspiration and insight. Each student then creates their own masterpiece in the style of the artist studied, fostering both imagination and practical skill. This hands-on approach deepens understanding and brings art history to life.
Upper School: Advancing Artistic Skills and Expression
In upper school, students build on their foundational knowledge through advanced instruction in art theory and technique. Guided by experienced educators, they use these tools to create artwork that reflects their personal style and individuality. The program emphasizes both technical mastery and creative exploration, equipping students with the skills to excel in the arts.
Showcasing Talent and Celebrating Achievement
RLCA’s commitment to the arts extends beyond the classroom. Each year, we host an art fair where students proudly display their creations, celebrating their hard work and talent. Additionally, our students participate in the ACSI regional art competition, consistently earning awards and recognition for their outstanding work.
At Real Life Christian Academy, we inspire students to unlock their artistic potential and express their God-given creativity.
